Loft Hostel - Mt Emei and Leshan Giant Buddha Tour

The most holy of the five sacred peaks of Daoism, Mount Emei draws pilgrims not only from across China but from all over the world.

The mountain is famous for its golden monkeys, which like to trick travellers into giving them food. The naughty monkeys might try to block your path, demanding tribute, so make sure you bring some treats for them!

Leshan is home to Dafo Giant Buddha, a huge statue carved into the clifftop overlooking the town. Built around 700AD, it is famous as the largest seated Buddha statue in the world.
